Description
The SRC DC Wireless Gun is modeled after the popular Stunner/Virtua Gun, just like the Bio Gun, which was also a prior release by SRC. This time they went with a wireless model that came with an ir receiver, which plugs into the controller port of the dreamcast.
The gun has the buttons B and Start on the right side of the barrel, as well as a digipad on the left. Also on the left is a slide release, which acts as the mode selector. The oddly named first mode is “closed”, which turns the gun off so it doesn’t drain the battery. The second mode is labeled “normal” and is the standard gun mode. Lastly, there is “auto”, which activates autofire and autoreload.
There is a little indicator led on the bottom of the handle that tells if the gun is turned on. For power, a 9V battery has to be inserted into the bottom of the handle. The ir receiver has a switch to toggle between gun and controller mode. As it seems the controller mode is used with the game silent scope, which does not have light gun compatibility.
