Description
The PX098 Assault Rifle was released in 2005 by Logic3 and resembles a MP5, but has no official license from Heckler & Koch. The stock and the magazine are removable, both with locking mechanisms which open by pressing a button.
The “A” and “B” buttons are placed on the right side of the front handle. Above these two are the XBOX-specific “Y”, “Black” and “White” Buttons. On the other side of the handle is a D-Pad that has it’s up direction towards the barrel. Also on the left side above the trigger are the “Start”, “Select” and another “B” Button. Next to them is a 4-way switch for the firemode selection. There are the common normal, autoreload and autofire modes, as well as a machine gun mode, which is just the autofire and autoreload combined. If the autoreload mode is activated, the gun reloads after six rounds. This switch can be set on either side of the gun. The right side also houses switches for the laser, the feedback and a gunmode selector for Guncon modes. The gun has no connector for an external pedal.
For easier aiming, a laser is mounted above the handle, which is only activated if the gun is pointed at the TV. There are two wheels behind the front sight to calibrate it.
For feedback, it uses a kickback mechanism, but this time without any visible, moving parts like on the P99 variants of Logic3. Like many other similar guns with this kind of feedback, it can happen that the mechanism fires twice, even if the trigger is only pressed once. To power this feedback, four AA batteries have to be inserted in the removable magazine. An external power source can’t be connected. On both sides of the gun are LEDs for a visual feedback. With every shot, they light up consecutively from back to front.
