NAKI Lunar Gun

Description

Naki released the Lunar Gun in 1996 for the original Playstation. It is modeled after the Konami Hyper Blaster and has the same button layout. Differences, besides the color, are the Naki Logo on both sides and three LEDs on the left as indications for the fire mode. As the gun is lacking the composite connector, only a normal gunmode is available.

The only two buttons are the start button on the left and another button on the back, where the Hammer would be. As there is no dedicated button for the autoreload/autofire modes, they are activated by holding the start button and pulling the trigger. With every press of the trigger, it is possible zu cycle through the modes, the sequence is: autofire – autofire/autoreload – autoreload – autoreload/easy – easy. The easy mode is a burst mode in which with every pull on the trigger, three shots are fired. The autoreload happens after six shots.

Naki also released an attachable laser sight for the Lunar Gun, which could be bought separately. It slides on to the barrel, where it connects to two contacts that connect the laser to power. No extra power supply is needed. The laser can be adjusted with a wheel on its bottom, but it only adjusts the height. If the laser is horizontally off, there is no way to adjust it.
